Victoria Rumble is a contributing editor for the Citizen's Companion and a monthly columnist for the Civil War Courier. Her articles deal with a wide array of topics about the material culture of the 18th and 19th century. Past articles have included etiquette, religion, quilting, knitting, clothing of the 19th century, foods commonly eaten during the 19th century, hair styles, rug hooking, letter writing, games and children's activities, parlor theatricals, tableaux vivants, mourning customs, herbal medicine, culinary herbs and their use, ersatz items used in a blockaded South during the U.S. Civil War, and much more.

She has also had articles published in various newspapers, antiques journals, genealogical journals, magazines, etc. Several of her articles have been used as hand-outs by teachers at the elementary level through higher education, by herbalists as well as Sunday School associations, etc.

She has written two cookbooks, a family history, and her latest is Victoria's Home Companion, or the Whole Art of Cooking. This book is a serious study of American cuisine through the end of the 19th century. It contains recipes, and tips for preparing a delicious and memorable meal for a holiday feast or theme party dinner, and the serious foodways historian will find a plethora of ideas and instructions.

Outdoor Recreation and Leisure in 19th Century America has been called "ground-breaking" by reviewers in that it brings to light a facet of life not previously acknowledged - recreation among the hard working farm folk and the wealthy elite alike.
